California-based communications company Viasat Inc., (NASDAQ: VSAT), has been approved by the European Commission to acquire UK-based mobile satellite communications services provider Inmarsat, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

This follows the recent UK Competition & Markets Authority's clearance on May 9, 2023, and that of the US Federal Communications Commission on May 19, 2023.
