US-based healthcare delivery network Lifepoint Health has acquired Arizona, US-based behavioral health facility Cornerstone Behavioral Health El Dorado, the company said.

This transaction further advances Lifepoint's plans to grow its behavioral health capabilities and access points and expand its innovative behavioral health platform to meet the current and future needs of the people and communities it serves.

Cornerstone Behavioral Health El Dorado is a 54-bed behavioral health facility located in Tucson, Arizona.

It employs approximately 100 dedicated employees who specialize in the treatment of adult behavioral health patients.

Lifepoint plans to invest in Cornerstone Behavioral Health El Dorado's growth and plans to add nearly 50 additional beds to the facility in the coming months to help meet the region's growing demand for these services.

Cornerstone Behavioral Health El Dorado's operations will be rolled into Lifepoint's growing Lifepoint Behavioral Health business, which currently supports more than 30 behavioral health units within partner hospitals and sites of care across the country, along with three inpatient behavioral health hospitals.
