HelpSystems Acquires Agari to Strengthen Capabilities in Data Security

Minnesota, US-based cybersecurity and automation software company HelpSystems has acquired California-based email phishing defense solution Agari, to grow data security portfolio, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Despite the growth in cyberattacks through other vectors, email remains the most common channel for data breaches and cybercrime. Agari solutions detect, defend against, and respond to email attacks by using massive data sets, data science, and the power of cloud computing.

Agari will be a notable asset to HelpSystems to give global customers new tools for securing their valuable data and achieving peace of mind.

In connection with this transaction, JMP Securities LLC served as financial advisor to Agari and Cowen served as financial advisor to HelpSystems.

HelpSystems is a software company focussed on helping organisations build a better IT by providing cybersecurity and automation software that simplifies critical IT processes to give customers peace of mind.
