US-based communications infrastructure provider Bluebird Network has closed the acquisition of the middle-mile fiber network assets from Missouri Telecom Inc. (MTI) to expand and strengthen Bluebird's fiber network, the company said.
Terms of the Asset Purchase Agreement transaction were not disclosed.
The fiber network assets include 40 route miles of fiber, along with three Points of Presence in Southwest Missouri, including the cities Mount Vernon, Monett, Nevada, and Aurora.
This strategic acquisition of MTI's network assets will expand and strengthen Bluebird's existing fiber network throughout Southwest Missouri and is part of the company's overall growth strategy across the Midwestern United States.
