Argenta Acquires Klifovet to Expand into Europe

New Zealand-based animal health-focussed contract research organisation Argenta has acquired Munich-based clinical research organisation and regulatory affairs consultancy Klifovet AG to enhance services and expand global footprint into the European Union, the company said.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition of Klifovet provides customers the opportunity for a seamless, global Molecule to Market product development experience. Klifovet will particularly complement Argenta's Clinical and Regulatory Services team based in the United States, offering an unparalleled level of expertise, and access to the largest transatlantic CRO capability in animal health.

The combined business will be a global, full-value strategic partner, stimulating innovation and supporting large and small animal health and nutrition companies.

Argenta was advised on the transaction by Stonehaven Consulting AG, a global consulting firm focussed on animal health.

Argenta is a global contract research organisation and contract development and manufacturing organisation dedicated to animal health.

Klifovet AG is a full-service Contract Research and Development Organisation, offering regulatory affairs, pre-clinical and clinical studies, GMP compliant manufacturing including clinical supplies, quality assurance, data management and statistical analyses for the animal health and nutrition industry.
