US-based TransitTech provider Via has acquired UK-based journey planning app and transit technology provider Citymapper, to advance operating system in public mobility, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Following Via's recent financing round, the Citymapper acquisition accelerates Via's vision to build the end-to-end digital infrastructure for transit systems.
