Transplace Acquires Lanehub to Bolster Transportation Management Technology

17 January 2020 - Texas-based transportation management services and logistics technology company Transplace has acquired Wisconsin-based collaborative transportation network Lanehub, to improve fleet utilisation and optimise supply chain efficiency, the company said.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Lanehub's collaboration network currently includes over 150 shipper members, 250 carrier members, 180,000 lanes, and over USD 23bn in truckload spend.
To date, Lanehub customers have 26m matches within Lanehub's network.
The acquisition benefits both Transplace's and Lanehub's customers by giving them access to transportation technology and strategic management through the resources of the newly-combined organisation.
Lanehub is a cloud-based collaborative transportation network that enables shippers or carriers to match recurring freight lanes on a consistent basis to jointly source capacity or better utilise private or dedicated fleets.
Transplace partners with global shippers to run their logistics business more intelligently through its advanced logistics technology platform, proprietary transportation management software, data insights, expert engineering, and execution services.
