US-based private investment firm Tinicum, L.P. has acquired a controlling interest in Robert Family Holdings, LLC, now TSL Engineered Products, LLC, an industrial manufacturer operating through three subsidiaries, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

TSL operates through its three wholly owned operating subsidiaries--Advantek, LLC, Continental Disc, LLC, and Dexter Magnetic Technologies, Inc.

Tinicum's partnership will enable each of TSL's businesses to continue investing in the personnel, capital, and solutions needed to provide industry-leading products and service to our customers worldwide.

Tinicum is a private investment partnership with experience investing in private and public companies in industrial manufacturing, distribution, and technology.

Advantek, located in Minnesota, manufactures carrier tape and associated products for the semiconductor industry.

Continental Disc is a manufacturer of rupture discs, pressure- and vacuum-relief valves, and other safety-critical pressure-relief products, located in Missouri.

Dexter Magnetic Technologies, located in Illinois, supplies specialised magnetic components and assemblies for use in demanding applications in the medical, aerospace, defense, semiconductor manufacturing, oil and gas, and industrial end markets.
