US-based online real estate marketplace Redfin (NASDAQ: RDFN) has agreed to acquire Atlanta-based home rental network RentPath for USD 608m in cash, to combine homebuying and apartment rental services, the company said.
Redfin uses a combination of local real estate agents and technology to make it easier, faster and less costly to buy or sell a home.
RentPath simplifies the apartment search experience for millions of consumers, connecting property-management companies with qualified prospective renters.
The RentPath network of websites reached 16m monthly visitors on average in 2020, and recorded full year 2020 revenue of USD 194m.
Redfin offers brokerage, iBuying, mortgage, and title services to support people buying and selling home.
