Knife Sharpening Firm Cozzini Bros. Acquires New York´s Ambrosi Cutlery

12 October 2017 - Illinois US-based cutlery sharpening and exchange services company Cozzini Bros., Inc. has acquired New York, US-based cutlery and sharpening services provider Ambrosi Cutlery, Ltd, the company said.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The joint company will operate under the Cozzini Bros. name.
Ambrosi Cutlery, Ltd., based in North Salem, New York, was started in 1930 by Giacomo Ambrosi in New York City.
The company has been providing cutlery sharpening services to local businesses for four generations.
Ambrosi is owned and operated by its third-generation president, Robert Ambrosi, and his sons, Jason and Mark.
Robert will join Cozzini as Northeast Regional general manager; Jason will serve as an area manager; and Mark will serve as operations manager to continue providing exceptional service to both Cozzini and Ambrosi customers throughout the Northeast.
Ambrosi Cutlery brings Cozzini long-term customer relationships and operational expertise in the Northeast, positioning the combined companies well in an area traditionally underserved by Cozzini.
Cozzini Bros is the largest commercial knife sharpening company in the country, serving independent restaurants, restaurant chains, grocery stores and other foodservice institutions across the country.
The company provides knife exchange, various ancillary services and kitchen supplies to over 45,000 customers nationwide. Established in 1905, Cozzini Bros. is headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois.
