Kentucky, US-based Kindred Healthcare, LLC has partnered with faith-based, nonprofit health system Texas Health Resources to acquire Texas-based 36-bed hospital Everest Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller, located in Fort Worth, the company said.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Everest, now renamed Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller, will operate through an existing joint venture between Kindred and Texas Health Resources.
The hospital provides services for patients recovering from strokes and other long-term illnesses or injuries and feature specialised clinical programmes.
Kindred Healthcare, LLC is a speciality hospital company delivering acute health services in its long-term acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, acute rehabilitation units, and behavioral health line of business, all specialising in treating the most medically complex patients.
Texas Health Resources is a faith-based, nonprofit health system that cares for more patients in North Texas than any other provider.
