ExteNet Closes Acquisition of Telecommunications Infrastructure Services Provider MetroFiber

14 November 2017 - Chicago, US-based distributed network systems (DNS) provider ExteNet Systems has increased its fibre footprint in the New York, US metro area through its acquisition of New York, US-based telecommunications infrastructure services provider MetroFiber Co., LLC (d/b/a/ Axiom Fiber Networks), the company said.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The deal was announced in July.

Axiom's high-bandwidth fiber will be accretive to ExteNet's existing purpose-built fiber in Manhattan.

Overlaying Axiom's newly-built and high strand count fiber to its fiber plant positions ExteNet well to address the increasing densification, bandwidth and communication needs throughout New York City.

ExteNet will undertake responsibilities of all existing Axiom customers. Axiom CEO Felipe J. Alvarez will join ExteNet's management team.

ExteNet Systems, Inc. enables advanced cellular, wireless and broadband connectivity through distributed networks for use by wireless carriers, broadband providers, IoT companies, property owners and communities across the US.
