Elisa to Acquire Sweden-Based Polystar for EUR 70m

12 June 2019 - Finland-based telecommunications and digital services provider Elisa has agreed to acquire 100% of Sweden-based Polystar OSIX AB group shares, the company said.
The acquisition price is EUR 70m (USD 79m) (cash and debt-free EV). The agreement includes also an additional acquisition price, max EUR 5.0m (USD 5.7m), if growth targets are achieved. Polystar's revenue was SEK 395m (USD 41.9m) and EBIT SEK 68m (7.3m) (fiscal year ending April 2019, unaudited).
Polystar is a global provider of analytics, assurance and monitoring software solutions for mobile operators. Combining Polystar's analytics expertise with Elisa's automation capabilities enables the development of new and innovative services internationally.
The company's global customer operations provide international reach for Elisa Automate innovations. The transaction is consistent with Elisa's strategy to grow digital businesses internationally and Polystar will continue as a subsidiary of Elisa.
