Miami-based ecommerce fraud protection provider ClearSale has acquired Brazilian software development organisation Beta Learning Consultoria e Desenvolvimento de Software LTDA for an initial investment of BRL 40.1m (USD 7m), the company said.
The BRL 40.1m consideration will be paid in two or more installments of approximately USD 2.25m, contingent and variable based on the company's performance in the following 24 months.
The acquisition accelerates ClearSale's research and development resources and drives growth objectives since launching its IPO last summer.
The purchase helps the company keep its focus on combining forward-thinking products with the world's largest team of fraud analysts to provide unmatched protection for online merchants.
ClearSale (B3: CLSA3) offers ecommerce fraud protection, combining cutting-edge statistical technology with specialised fraud analysts.
Beta Learning is a consultancy that connects people and organisations to create and evolve digital products.
