US-based financial services-focussed education, training and certification provider CeriFi has acquired insurance pre-licensing and continuing education courses CPMI Professional Development to further address the needs of financial services customers, the company said.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

CPMI represents the eighth acquisition for CeriFi. CeriFi's financial support and customer relationships will enable CPMI to further expand pre-licensing and continuing education solutions.

Polsinelli served as legal counsel to Leeds Equity Partners. Dorsey and Whitney served as legal counsel to CPMI.

CeriFi, a portfolio company of New York-based private equity firm Leeds Equity Partners, is a diversified education, training and certification provider serving professionals across the financial services market.

CPMI Professional Development, Inc. has helped candidates prepare to take and pass state Property and Casualty License and Life and Health Insurance License exams since 1998.
