Connecticut, US-based Brynwood Partners VIII L.P. has acquired Arkansas-based frozen pancakes, waffles and French toast manufacturer De Wafelbakkers from Oklahoma Publishing Company (OPUBCO), a subsidiary of the Anschutz Corp., to expand presence in the breakfast market, the company said.
Terms and conditions of the deal are not being disclosed.
The De Wafelbakkers acquisition increases Brynwood's footprint in the food and beverage space, increasing the total Brynwood manufacturing platform to 16 facilities, approximately 4,100 employees and more than USD 2.2bn in annual sales.
Brynwood VIII was represented by Holland and Knight on legal matters and did not have investment banking representation. William Blair served as the exclusive advisor to De Wafelbakkers.
