Boston-based Audax Private Equity has agreed to make a strategic growth investment in New York and Toronto-based infrastructure software provider BlueCat Networks, the company said.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is anticipated to close in 3Q22 and is subject to certain closing conditions.
Upon closing, Audax will own a controlling stake in BlueCat, with MDP fully realising its investment in BlueCat.
BlueCat is a provider of mission-critical, infrastructure software for network control, automation, and security.
BlueCat's Adaptive DNS platform is a secure, scalable, and automated resource that supports digital-transformation initiatives, such as adoption of hybrid cloud, virtualisation, and rapid-application development.
William Blair and Nomura Securities International, Inc. are serving as financial advisors to BlueCat. Ropes and Gray is serving as legal counsel to Audax and Kirkland and Ellis is serving as legal counsel to BlueCat and MDP.
