Navis to Acquire Assets of Biarri Rail to Expand Services into Rail Operations

20 February 2020 - California-based Navis, an operational technologies provider across the cargo supply chain, has acquired the assets of Australia-based Biarri Rail, a planning and scheduling optimisation software provider for freight railroads, to support the company's expansion into inland solutions, the company said.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of February 2020.
Navis is a part of Cargotec Corp.
The acquisition of Biarri Rail, combined with Navis' N4 Terminal Operating System for intermodal operations, will provide freight operators around the world with planning software designed to improve the quality and efficiency of rail operations, including train services, locomotives, yards, railcars, crews and train paths.
Navis, LLC is a provider of operational technologies and services that unlock greater performance and efficiency for terminal operators and ocean carriers.
