Canadian pharmaceutical clinical research organisation (CRO) Altasciences has acquired California-based CRO WCCT Global, Inc., to expand footprint by providing Phase I and II clinical pharmacology services on the West Coast, the company said.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
This acquisition will complement Altasciences' current clinical operations in Montreal, Canada, and Kansas City, USA., while being in close proximity to their Washington State preclinical facility.
This acquisition and adds 180 beds to Altasciences current 400-bed offering, and enhances capabilities with expertise in ethnobridging and other speciality areas for hard-to-recruit study populations.
Altasciences is a mid-size CRO/CDMO offering pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies an approach to preclinical and clinical pharmacology studies, including formulation, manufacturing, and analytical services.
