EXTENET CLOSES ACQUISITION OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES PROVIDER
Tuesday 14 November 2017

Chicago, US-based distributed network systems (DNS) provider ExteNet Systems has increased its fibre footprint in the New York, US metro area through its acquisition of New York, US-based telecommunications infrastructure services provider MetroFiber Co., LLC (d/b/a/ Axiom Fiber Networks), the company said.
The deal was announced in July. Axiom's high-bandwidth fiber will be accretive to ExteNet's existing purpose-built fiber in Manhattan. Overlaying Axiom's newly-built and high strand count fiber to its fiber plant positions ExteNet well to address the increasing densification, bandwidth and communication needs throughout New York City.
