Experian Acquires Tapad to Complement Digital Identity and Marketing Data Assets

California-based information services company Experian has acquired New York-based digital Identity resolution provider Tapad to enhance digital offerings for advertisers, agencies and publishers, the company said.

Experian is acquiring 100% of Tapad from Telenor for a cash consideration of around USD 280m. Revenue for the 12 months to 31 December 2020 is forecast to be USD 55m. The acquisition position Experian to take advantage of expansion in the market for digital-data advertising.
