COMMVAULT ACQUIRES HEDVIG FOR USD 225M
Tuesday 10 September 2019

New Jersey, US-based Commvault (NASDAQ: CVLT), a software provider that manages data across cloud and on-premises environments, has agreed to acquire Hedvig, a software-defined storage firm, for total consideration of USD 225m, the company said.
The USD 225m includes the purchase price and ongoing employee retention. Gartner expects that by 2023, software-defined storage instantiations of vendor storage OSs running in the cloud will become the dominant method of building multi cloud storage infrastructures.
